NAMAMI NARMADE
On the banks of the great River walked several revered saints. Among them was a young boy who came in search of a Guru. Standing by the gentle waters of the Grand Narmada, one journeys into the world of Advaita. Based on the life and works of Adi Sankara, Namami Narmade is an Ensemble presentation.

The angst of Karna, a character from the Epic Mahabharatha is brought to life through this work, drawing from several literary sources. It is a unique coming together of dance, song, spoken word and light design - creating an experience for the audience: A commentary on current day dilemma, our understanding of right and wrong, and an objective view of what makes up people and their intentions.

DEAR KANNAMMA

A story inspired by the life of Mahakavi Subramanya Bharathi, Dear Kannamma traces his eventful life while he travelled from Kashi to Kolkata and onward to Puducherry. The poetry he writes, the people that cross his path and his intense love for life, freedom, human emancipation and spiritual growth all tie in to a gripping tale.

Arising from Nothingness and then manouvering its way through the mirage of this living world, the Soul is enamoured by the ‘reality’ that surrounds it, knowing all the while that it must find its union with the Absolute. The God Head that is worshipped popularly in Southern India- Azhagar is the War Lord, He is the Guru, He is the Lover. Beyond these affectionate forms that he is endowed with, Murugan is an esoteric concept and a Path of Worship that is awe-inspiring. This is a Solo/Ensemble presentation.

EPIC WOMAN

Who is Rama? Does he stand alone as the Hero of an Epic Tale? Definitely not. This production created in parallel as a danced storytelling and in the Bharatanatyam format, looks at the strength, valour, emotion and character that the women of the Epic tale bring to Rama. Through the eyes of Kausalya, Kaikeyi, Shabari, Sita and Urmila.
