The International Dance Alliance (IDA)

This annual theme based festival is one of a kind festival for groups from across India to partake in the collective spirit of the performing arts. Ensembles and Collaborative Groups are invited to perform to a particular theme every year. Well into the second decade of IDA, Padmalaya has presented over 500 artistes through this festival to the Bangalore audience.

If you or your collaborative partners would like to apply for the IDA, write to us.

Youth In Dance

Born out of a need to encourage young talent who are creating inspiring work and are delving deep into the study of the arts, The Youth In Dance annual event is curated under the guidance of Guru Smt. Padma Murali. Given a theme/topic or composition to work on, performers are required to present an in-depth oral presentation of the research in addition to a solo choreographic work. If you have been creating work that fits our description above, we would like to hear about it.

Write to us with a brief description of your work, and a video to supplement it.

Dhanyosmi

Dance must have a purpose beyond oneself- has been our motto. A fund raising initiative by the students of Padmalaya Dance Foundation, this annual event aims to support education initiatives for the under-privileged. Student performances in the past have supported dance education and infrastructure development at Government-run institutions in partnership with like-minded NGOs and individuals.

If you would like to contribute to this initiative or if you know of a deserving education initiative that we can support, write to us.
